Technology Implementation and Pakistani Textile Industry by Faisal Saya

Technology Implementation and Pakistani Textile Industry: No industry in the world is beyond problems and challenges. The same is true for the Pakistani textile industry, as this sector is confronting many types of complex problems and hindrances. Above all, the biggest challenge pertains to the resistance towards adapting latest technology by the local manufacturers. In fact, many leading textile manufacturers are still utilizing conventional methods during most of their industrial and manufacturing operations. Furthermore, most of the machinery and production equipment has become obsolete in the modern world, and buyers now demand more contemporary technologies throughout business and manufacturing operations. Consequently, their reluctance to modernize the machinery and equipment has led to the decline of overall competitiveness. This issue can be resolved by the immediate implementation and adaption of contemporary technologies. Though there is much resistance in doing these smoothly, we have no other option left in such a post-modern industrial era.
